• You would be taken by a British Gliding Association qualified instructor for a glider flight in a two seat glider. Before the flight we'll tell you a bit about gliders and gliding. Usually we can let you can feel what it is like to use the controls, (that's if you'd like to try), to fly in level flight and turn.
• We cannot guarantee how long your flight will last - that depends on the weather conditions - it could be up to 15 minutes. We give you long enough to get a real taste of what gliding is like.
• You'll become a temporary member of the club for 3 months. During this time you can fly twice more - paying lower charges as a club member.
• If you decide on the day of the trial flight that you want to join the club as a flying member, you get a big discount.
• And you will get a certificate to prove you had a glider flight at Camphill.

Booking

• During the summer you should be able to book your trial flight for a weekday (Mon-Fri) by calling the office a day or two in advance. We also take bookings for some Saturdays. Click on Phone Numbers under Contact Us on the left of the screen.
• If you haven't booked, come early in the day to the club house or office. Ask to get to the "launch point", if we are already flying. Get your name on the list to get your turn. Without booking we cannot specify a particular time, but there is plenty to see while you are waiting. Members will happily answer questions -including when you are likely to get your flight.
• For the cost of trial flights click on Flying under Fees & Charges at the left of the screen. We accept cash, credit/debit card or cheque with card.
• We are sorry that the limitations of gliders mean that we cannot fly anyone who is exceptionally tall or heavy. Maximum height is 6ft 3in (1.9m) and maximum weight is 16 stones (102Kg)
